As a young dog he lived for picking up liking nothing more than a busy day’s shoot where he worked very hard. It did take him a few days to get over it though - but you try going without him!! |

Mind you he was good in the show ring - securing a number of points towards his Junior Warrant. In the Northern Golden Retriever Assn. he won Minor Puppy & Puppy then went on to be awarded ‘Best Puppy in Show’. |

He has watched over quite a few litters and is known as ‘Uncle Chester’ to all of them - as you can see from this photo of him and Heidi!! |

Chester, or Bitterwell Sunny Delight of Hareswith, has been with us since 1993 and enjoys the life of a pet before anything else. We do not use him for stud as his hips are not too good. But he does so enjoy life! |

These days Chester stays around the garden - long walks are difficult for him - so his job as baby-sitter is very important |
