Week two brought lots of enjoyment for us - even if the puppies spent a lot of time sleeping. This week their eyes opened and they are trying to stand up on their little legs. Not too successfully to start with!! |

It’s really good to see a contented family. Here we can see Grace’s looking after her puppies very well. All are well fed and asleep. One (of course there's always one!) has fallen asleep still attached to the milk bar!!. Mind you this will save him moving too far when he wakes up - typical Golden Retriever!! |

One of the jobs Grace does not like is cleaning out the whelping box - it means she has to leave her puppies. Mind you as you can see she watches proceedings very carefully to make sure no one runs off with them!! At the moment they all still fit in the fruit box (especially designed for the purpose - thanks Tesco’s!!). In a week or so’s time they will not!! |

One of the most important jobs Uncle Chester has is to introduce all new puppies to the wonders of doggie life. This - as you can see from this picture - he does (with a little reluctance). As they get bigger he finds they hang on his ears. Still that’s what he’s here for!! |
